Sacred Heart of Jesus.
As três parábolas – ovelha perdida, a moeda perdida e o pai misericordioso, também conhecida como parábola do filho pródigo – exaltam o coração misericordioso e o amor terno e gratuito de Deus por nós e nos convidam à alegria quando acontece a recuperação de algo perdido. Na solenidade do Sagrado Coração de Jesus é apresentada a primeira dessas três parábolas, a da ovelha perdida. Nela Jesus se apresenta como o bom pastor, aquele que conhece suas ovelhas e as chama pelo nome. Não permite que nenhuma delas se perca e, se alguma se desviar, vai atrás dela até encontrá-la. O coração misericordioso de Jesus nos convida a imitá-lo no nosso relacionamento com os outros.

The three parables – lost sheep, the lost coin and the merciful father, also known as the Parable of the Prodigal Son – exhilaration the merciful heart and the tender and free love of God for us and invite us to joy when the recovery of something lost . On the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is presented the first of these three parables, that of the lost sheep. In it Jesus presents himself as the Good Shepherd, the one who knows his sheep and calls them by name. You don't allow any of them to get lost, and if any stray, you go after her until you find her. The merciful heart of Jesus invites us to imitate him in our relationship with others.

Leitura da profecia de Ezequiel 34,11-16 – 11Assim diz o Senhor Deus: “Vede! Eu mesmo vou procurar minhas ovelhas e tomar conta delas. 12Como o pastor toma conta do rebanho, de dia, quando se encontra no meio das ovelhas dispersas, assim vou cuidar de minhas ovelhas e vou resgatá-las de todos os lugares em que forem dispersadas num dia de nuvens e escuridão. 13Vou retirar minhas ovelhas do meio dos povos e recolhê-las do meio dos países para conduzi-las à sua terra. Vou apascentar as ovelhas sobre os montes de Israel, nos vales dos riachos e em todas as regiões habitáveis do país. 14Vou apascentá-las em boas pastagens, e nos altos montes de Israel estará o seu abrigo. Ali repousarão em prados verdejantes e pastarão em férteis pastagens sobre os montes de Israel. 15Eu mesmo vou apascentar as minhas ovelhas e fazê-las repousar – oráculo do Senhor Deus. 16Vou procurar a ovelha perdida, reconduzir a extraviada, enfaixar a da perna quebrada, fortalecer a doente e vigiar a ovelha gorda e forte. Vou apascentá-las conforme o direito”. – Palavra do Senhor.

Reading of the prophecy of Ezekiel 34,11-16 – 11Thus saith the Lord God: "Behold! I'm going to look for my sheep myself and take care of them. 12As The shepherd takes charge of the flock, by day, when he is in the midst of the scattered sheep, so I will take care of my sheep and I will rescue them from everywhere they are scattered in a day of clouds and darkness. 13I Will withdraw my sheep from the midst of the peoples and collect them from the midst of the countries to lead them to their land. Tomai sobre vós o meu jugo e de mim aprendei, que sou de manso e humilde coração (Mt 11,29). – Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Lucas 15,3-7 – Naquele tempo, 3Jesus contou aos escribas e fariseus esta parábola: 4“Se um de vós tem cem ovelhas e perde uma, não deixa as noventa e nove no deserto e vai atrás daquela que se perdeu até encontrá-la? 5Quando a encontra, coloca-a nos ombros com alegria 6e, chegando a casa, reúne os amigos e vizinhos e diz: ‘Alegrai-vos comigo! Encontrei a minha ovelha que estava perdida!’ 7Eu vos digo, assim haverá no céu mais alegria por um só pecador que se converte do que por noventa e nove justos que não precisam de conversão”. – Palavra da salvação.
