🇧🇷Reflexão 17/10/19 🇺🇸Reflection

Ai de vós, mestres da lei.
Woe to you, masters of the law.

"You will be asked for this generation!" The addressees of this sentence were first the doctors of the law and the Pharisees. The mention of the Apostles alongside the prophets leaves the persecutions of the Chiefs against the first Apostolic generation. Law specialists made it difficult for the simple people to understand and practice the law of God. More serious: They instilled fear in the people so that they would not approach Jesus (cf. JN 12.42). Jesus distributes so many faces to the Pharisees and doctors of the law, who does not amaze the fact that they are "arming traps to catch him by surprise in some word that came out of his mouth."

1a. Leitura
– Palavra do Senhor.

1st. Reading
Reading from St Paul's letter to the Romans 3,21-30 – Brothers, 21now, without relying on the regime of the law, the righteousness of God has manifested itself, attested by law and by the prophets; 22the righteousness of God that is accomplished through faith in Jesus Christ, for all who have faith. For in this righteousness there is no distinction: 23 all have sinned and are deprived of the glory of God, 24and the justification is given free, by his grace, held in Jesus Christ. 25God destined Jesus Christ to be, by his own blood, an instrument of atonement through the reality of faith. Thus God showed his righteousness in having left without punishment the sins committed once, 26 in the time of his tolerance. Thus he also demonstrates his righteousness in the present time, to be himself righteous and to make righteous one who lives from faith in Jesus. 27Where would then be the right of one to glorify? It's been deleted. By what law? By the law of the works? Absolutely not, but, yes, by the law of faith. 28Indeed, we believe that man is justified by faith, without the practice of Jewish law. 29Chance God is only of the Jews? Isn't he also God of the heathens? Yes, he's also God of the heathens. 30 For God is one. – Word of the Lord.

Salmo 129/130

Salmo 129/130
In the Lord is all grace/and copious redemption! – From the depths I cry out to you, Lord,/Hear My voice! /Your ears are very attentive/to the cry of my prayer! – If you take into account our faults,/who will be subsisted? /But in you is forgiveness,/I fear you and in you I hope. – In the Lord I put my hope,/I hope in his word. /My Soul waits in the Lord/More than the Watchman for the dawn.

Evangelho
Aleluia, aleluia, aleluia.

Gospel
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah. I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the father but for me (Jn 14,6). – Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 11,47-54 – At that time, the Lord said: 47 "Woe unto you, because you build the tombs of the prophets; However, it was your parents who killed them. 48With This, you are witnesses and approve the works of your fathers, for they Have killed the prophets and you have built the tombs. 49That Is Why the wisdom of God said: I will send you prophets and apostles, and they shall kill and pursue some of them, 50a end to ask for this generation of the blood of all the prophets shed since the creation of the world, 51from the blood of Abel to the SAN Of Zacharias, who was killed between the altar and the shrine. Yes, I tell you, you will be asked this generation for bills. 52Woe to you, masters of the law, because you have touched the key of science. You yourself did not enter and still prevented those who wanted to enter. " 53When Jesus came out, the Masters of the Law and the Pharisees began to treat him badly and provoke him on many points. 54They were pitted to catch him by surprise for any word that came out of his mouth. – Word of salvation.
