From now on, you will be catching men.

1a. Leitura -
Colossenses 1,9-14

– Palavra do Senhor.
1st Reading - Colossians 1,9-14
Reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Colossians-Brothers, 9 since we received this news, don't we pray insistently for you, so let things come to fully know the will of God, with all the wisdom and discernment of the Spirit. 10 Because you must lead a life worthy of the Lord, to be pleasant at all. You must produce fruit in every good work and grow in the knowledge of God, 11 animated too hard, by the power of your glory, lots of patience and constancy. 12 joyfully give thanks to the father, that made you able to participate in the light, which is the inheritance of the Saints. 13 He delivered us from the power of darkness and received us in the realm of your beloved son, 14 for whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. -The word of the Lord.

Evangelho -
Lucas 5,1-11

Jesus, porém, disse a Simão: “Não tenhas medo!
Gospel - Luke 5,1-11
Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke - 1 at the time Jesus was on the shore of the Lake of Gennesaret, and the crowd pressed to your surrounding to hear the word of God. 2 Jesus saw two barges stops on the lake shore. The fishermen had landed and washed the nets. 3 Climbing on one of the barges, which era of Simon, asked to step back a little from the edge. Later, sat down and, da barca, taught the multitudes. 4 when you're finished talking, he said to Simon, "moves into deeper water, and cast your nets for fishing". 5 Simon replied: "master, we worked all night and no fish. But watch your Word, I will be launching the networks ". 6 So they did, and they got such amount of fish, which nets broke. 7 so they signal to the companions of the other ferry, for them to come help them. They came, and filled both boats, so that almost sink. 8 To view it, Simon Peter threw himself at the feet of Jesus, saying: "Sir, get away from me, because I'm a sinner!" 9 is the wonder if Simon had enfolded and all his companions, because fishing had just do. 10 James and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon, were also amazed. But Jesus said to Simon: "don't be afraid! From now on, you will be Fisher of men ". 11 Then took the ferries to shore, left everything and followed Jesus. -The word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho

– Palavra do Senhor.

1st Reading - Thessalonians 5,1-6.9-11
Reading the first letter of St. Paul to the Thessalonians - 1 regarding the time and the hour, my brothers, there is no reason that you write. 2 you know perfectly that you the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 when people say: "Peace and safety!" then destruction will come suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman. And cannot escape. 4 But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day surprise you like a thief. 5 you are All sons of light and sons of the day are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6 Therefore, don't sleep, like the others, but let's be vigilant and sober. 9 God has destined us to not anger, but to achieve salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 He died for us so that, whether watching in this life, whether asleep in death, achieve the life with him. 11 so, exortai you and one another, as costumais do. -The word of the Lord.

Evangelho -
Lucas 4,31-37

Gospel - Luke 4,31-37
Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke - 31 at that time Jesus went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and then taught them on Saturdays. 32 people were surprised with your teaching, because Jesus spoke with authority. 33 in the synagogue there was a man possessed by the spirit of an unclean demon, who cried in a loud voice: 34 "what do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: you are the Holy one of God! " 35 Jesus threatened him, saying: "shut up and come out of him!" Then the demon released the man on the ground, left him and didn't do any harm. 36 the amazement lay siege to all, and they said among themselves: "what is that Word? He sends us unclean spirits with authority and power, and they come out ". 37 and Jesus fame spread all over the area. -The word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho

1a. Leitura -
Jeremias 20,7-9

Leitura do livro do profeta Jeremias – 7 Seduziste-me, Senhor, e deixei-me seduzir; foste mais forte, tiveste mais poder. – Palavra do Senhor.

1st Reading -
Jeremiah 20,7-9
Reading the book of the Prophet Jeremiah - 7 Seduced me, Sir, and I let him seduce me; were stronger, had more power. I became a target of derision all day, all mock me. 8 every time I speak, I raise my voice, crying out against evil and invoking calamities; the word of the Lord became for me a source of embarrassment and laughingstock all day. 9 he said to me: "I don't want to remember that even speak more on his behalf". Felt, so inside me a blazing fire to penetrate all over me: I collapsed, with no strength to bear. -The word of the Lord.

Evangelho -
Mateus 16,21-27

Gospel - Matthew 16,21-27
Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew - 21 at that time Jesus began to show his disciples that should go to Jerusalem and suffer greatly from the elders, the high priests and the teachers of the law and who should be killed and resurrected on the third day. 22 then Peter took Jesus aside and began to rebuke him, saying, "God forbid such a thing, Sir. This will never happen to you! " 23 Jesus turned to Peter and said, "Go away, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me, because I don't think the things of God, but the things of men. " 24 Then Jesus said to his disciples: "If someone wants to follow me, renounce himself, take up your cross and follow me. 25 for who wants to save your life will lose it; and who lose your life for my sake will find it. 26 indeed, what good does it do to the man to gain the whole world but lose your life? What can someone give in Exchange for your life? 27 for the son of man shall come in the glory of your father with his angels, and then reward each one according to your standards. " -The word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho
Quanto a Jesus, Deus o ressuscitará no terceiro dia.

Reflecting the Gospel
The attitude of Peter, trying to move away from the way of the cross, Jesus shows that your conception about the Messiah needs some tweaking. Is that Peter and the other disciples believed in a glorious, triumphant Messiah, able to eliminate by force the Roman occupiers. While Jesus is the suffering servant. His struggle for Justice will require the sacrifice of his own life. In fact, the life of Jesus will be taken by leaders of the people: elders, Chief priests and teachers of the law. His death on the cross will bring the victory of Justice and the God project. Every disciple who is loyal to Jesus and apply your life for God in favor of your people, your life will be rescued and rewarded by God: "Whoever loses his life for my sake, you will find". As for Jesus, the God will rise again on the third day.

1 Tessalonicenses 4,1-8

– Palavra do Senhor.

1st Reading -
1 Thessalonians 4,1-8
Reading the first letter of St. Paul to the Thessalonians-1 my brothers, here's what we ask and we exhort in the Lord Jesus: have you learned from us how you should live to please God and already you are living like this. Make even greater progress. 2 you know, in fact, the instructions we have given in the name of the Lord Jesus. 3 this is the will of God: live in Holiness, stand aside of impurity; 4 each know your marital partner treat with Holiness and respect, 5 without getting carried away by the passions, as do the Gentiles, who do not know God. 6 people on the matter, harm or deceive your brother, because the Lord takes revenge of all, as I said and proved. 7 God did not call us to impurity but to holiness. 8 Therefore, despise these precepts is not despise a man, and Yes to God, who gave us the Holy Spirit. -The word of the Lord.

Evangelho -
Mateus 25,1-13

5 O noivo estava demorando e todas elas acabaram cochilando e dormindo.

Gospel - Matthew 25,1-13
Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew – at that time, Jesus said to his disciples this parable: 1 "the Kingdom of heaven is like the story of the ten young people who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 5 of them were improvident, and the other five were farsighted. 3 The improvident took their lamps but took no oil with you. 4 The farsighted, however, took oil canisters along with the lamps. 5 the groom were taking and they all ended up napping and sleeping. 6 in the middle of the night, heard a scream: ' the bridegroom is coming. IDE to your date! ' 7 Then the ten young people arose and prepared the lamps. 8 The improvident said to the farsighted: ' give us a bit of oil, because our lamps are going out. 9 The farsighted replied: ' no way, because the oil may be insufficient for us and for you. You'd better go buy to sellers '. 10 While they went to buy oil, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding party. And the door closed. 11 Finally, the other young also came and said, ' Sir! Sir! Opens the door for us. ' 12 but he replied: ' In truth I tell you, I don't know you! ' 13 Therefore, keep watching, because you don't know what will be the day nor the hour. " -The word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho

Reflecting the Gospel
Another teaching of Jesus about the surveillance. He compared the Kingdom of heaven the ten virgins, five without judgment and five prudent. The bridegroom is Jesus, who comes to be received by the disciples and alerts (bridesmaids), while the disciples off guard and infidels (virgins without judgment) experience final exclusion. The parable aims to convince Christians to live faithfully and honestly the service of the Kingdom. What was the error of virgins without judgment? They weren't prepared for the arrival of the groom. They represent the disciples who don't take seriously the warnings of Jesus. Not knowing the moment of your arrival needs attention and readiness. With the parable we learn that our encounter with Jesus should not be improvised at the last minute. Christian death prepares for an authentic Christian life.

A light already rises to the righteous,/and joy, for the straight hearts. /Righteous men, rejoice in the Lord, sing praise and bless your/holy name! Psalm 96/97.
