– Palavra do Senhor.

Evangelho -
Mateus 23,13-22

Gospel -
Matthew 23,13-22
Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew – at that time, Jesus said: "13 woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, hypocrites! You closing the Kingdom of heaven to men. But don't go or let those that wish. [14] 15 woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, hypocrites! Ye ye compass sea and land to convert someone and when I did, the deserving of hell, destroys the credibility of two times worse than you. 16 woe to you, blind guides! You say, ' if anyone swears by the temple, it's no use; But if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, so worth! ' 17 Fools and blind! What is more, the gold or the temple that sanctifies the gold? 18 you say also, ' if anyone swears by the altar, it's worth; But if anyone swears by the gift that is on the altar, then. ' 19 Blind! What is more, the offer or the altar that sanctifies the gift? 20 indeed, who swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it. 21 and he who swears by the temple swears by it and by God who dwells in the temple. 22 and he who swears by heaven swears by the throne of God and by that it is sitting ". -The word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho

Reflecting the Gospel
Severe warning to the religious leaders. With malice, wit and wordplay, the doctors of the law and the Pharisees distort the practice of religion and mislead the faithful. With skill, manipulate the teachings of Scripture, not to benefit the people, but to take advantage of "obedience" of the people. Jesus the debunks. Call them hypocrites, that is, in disguise. Require compliance with the various laws, but not put into practice; increase the number of followers, not to guide them to the full life and freedom, but to keep them prisoners of their whims. Jesus calls them blind: insist on the details of the law, but the people away from the fulfillment of the divine laws. Beneficial meditation for all those who have some degree of leadership in the Church.

Isaías 22,19-23

Leitura do livro do profeta Isaías – Assim diz o Senhor a Sobna, o administrador do palácio: 19 “Eu vou te destituir do posto que ocupas e demitir-te do teu cargo. – Palavra do Senhor.

Evangelho -
Mateus 16,13-20

Gospel -
Matthew16,13-20
Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew - 13 At that time Jesus went to the region of Marjayoun and then asked his disciples: "Who say the men be the son of man?" 14 they replied, "some say John the Baptist; others, Elijah; others, still, it's Jeremiah or one of the prophets ". 15 then Jesus asked them: "and you, who do you say that I am?" 16 Simon Peter answered: "you are the Messiah, the Son of the living God". 17 Jesus answered and said to him: "Happy are you, Simon son of Jonah, because it was not a human being who revealed this, but my father which is in heaven. 18 therefore I tell you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the power of hell can never beat her. 19 I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of heaven: whatever you call on earth shall be bound in heaven; whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. " 20 Jesus then ordered the disciples not to say anybody that he was the Messiah. -The word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho

Reflecting the Gospel
In Marjayoun predominates the imperial power of Rome. But in this place are affirmed the plans of God for Jesus and his disciples. The people think that Jesus is one of the prophets of the old Covenant. And his disciples, what do you think about him? Peter, the leader of the disciples, responding correctly: "you are the Messiah, the Son of the living God". Jesus is the presence of God among us. Is Jesus, not the Emperor, who expresses God's plans. Pedro's response is received by Jesus with a blessing: "blessed are you, Simon. In addition to the compliment, Peter wins a great responsibility: should lead the community of Jesus ("my church"). Jesus gives Peter the power to distinguish and pinpoint who actually belongs to the community committed to justice and who moves away, to put on the side of injustice.

The greatest among you must be the one who serves

1a. Leitura -
Rute 2,1-3.8-11; 4,13-17

– Palavra do Senhor.

Evangelho -
Mateus 23,1-12

Gospel -
Matthew 22,34-40
Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew – at that time, 1 Jesus spoke to the crowds and to his disciples: 2 "the masters of the law and the Pharisees have the authority to interpret the law of Moses. 3 so you must do and watch everything they say. But don't imitate your actions! Because they speak and do not practice. 4 Tie heavy bundles and put them on the shoulders of others, but they themselves are not willing to move them or even with a finger. 5 Do all their actions only to be seen by others. They use wide bands, with excerpts from Scripture, on the forehead and arms and put on clothes long fringes. 6 enjoy pride of place in banquets and first seats in the synagogues. 7 like to be greeted in the public squares and be called master. 8 as for you, never be a master call, because one is your master, and all ye are brethren. 9 on Earth, don't call anyone father, for one is your father, he who is in heaven. 10 let not you called guides, because one is your guide, Christ. 11 on the other hand, the greatest among you must be the one you serve. 12 who extol will be humbled, and who himself will be exalted. " -The word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho

Reflecting the Gospel
This is the principle of hypocrisy: talk and do; teach others how it should be, but in life itself, not live what they teach. The hypocrisy is a temptation to our humanity at all times. We all have seeds of hypocrisy within us, is the mark of sin, is the setting of the pride and arrogance in us. Actually, that's what pride does to us, look we are one thing and even believe that, really, we are; but, in fact, not letting us see what in fact are. We talk, we charge, we demand too much of others, we require that you do not practice a tenth even. The yeast of corruption and hypocrisy resonate badly and ruin where are present. Let us not be infected by them nor let levedem our lives. Jesus publicly recommended extreme caution against the masters of the law and the Pharisees, and points them four reprehensible attitudes: they impose heavy burden of observances on the backs of the other; do things to be seen and admired; occupying the first places in banquets and in the synagogues; Anyway, delight in the human bonds and enjoy that do them reverence. So, what to do? Take attitudes of humility and not pick up titles or posts of honor. In fact, in the community of Jesus, everyone should get introduced and live with a spirit of service, because "the greater will be the one who provides service to others". As for the titles and deference, being assigned to whom they must: only God is the real father; only Christ is the true master of all. The value of the brotherhood.

DIA DO CATEQUISTA

Educar é mandato sublime, seja em qual for a área do conhecimento humano.

– Palavra do Senhor.

1st Reading - Ruth
1,1.3-6.14-16.22
Beginning of the book of Ruth-1 back in the days when the judges ruled, there was a famine in the country and a man of Bethlehem of Judah went to live in the fields of Moab with your wife and her two children. 3 However, died Elimelec, husband of Naomi, and this was alone with her two children. 4 They married Moabite women, one of which was called Orpah and the other Ruth. And there remained ten years. 5 After the two also died, and Quelion, and Maalon the woman was alone, without children and without her husband. 6 Then she volunteered to return from Moab field for your country with the two daughters-in-law, because I had heard that the Lord had looked for your people, and had given him food. 14 Orpah kissed your mother-in-law and left. Ruth, however, stayed with Naomi. 15 This said to him: "look, your sister-in-law went back to your people and to their gods. Go with her ". 16 But Ruth replied, "don't insist me to let you and me away from you. Because wherever you go, I will go with you, where Lodge, I will lodge there too. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. " 22 So Naomi returned from the fields of Moab, accompanied by your daughter-in-law Ruth the Moabite. They returned to Bethlehem, when began the harvest of barley. -The word of the Lord.

Evangelho -
Mateus 22,34-40

Gospel -
Matthew 22,34-40
Proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew – at that time, 34 the Pharisees heard that Jesus had done to silence the Sadducees. Then they gathered in group 35 and one of them asked Jesus to give it a try: 36 "teacher, which is the greatest commandment of the law?" 37 Jesus replied: "' Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. ' 38 This is the greatest and the first commandment. 39 the second is similar to this: ' you shall love your neighbor as yourself '. 40 all the law and the prophets depend on these two commandments ". -The word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho

Reflecting the Gospel
Frequently, the Pharisees surrounding Jesus, not in order to hear your Word and follow in his footsteps; Unlike the seeking for the experience. This time the subject are the commandments. After all, which one is the largest? The Pharisees had as a point of honor to carefully observe all the precepts. Will expect to see Jesus speaking against any of them? Without adding arguments, Jesus answers all religious Jew knew: the first and greatest commandment is to love God above all. And the love of God, Jesus unites love of neighbor: "love your neighbor as yourself". St. John wrote: "If anyone says, ' I love God ', but hate your brother, this is a liar. Because who doesn't love your brother, the beholder, cannot love God whom you don't see " (1Jo -21 1.20).

– Palavra do Senhor.

Reading the book of the Prophet Isaiah - 1 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light; for those who dwelt in the shadows of death, a light was shined. 2 Did grow up joy and increased happiness; all rejoice in your presence like happy harvest reapers or as exalted warriors to divide the spoils. 3 Because the yoke that oppressed the people – the load on your shoulders, the pride of you got the tax – as in the day of Midian. 4 assault boots, blood-stained costumes, everything will be burned and devoured by the flames. 5 Why was born a boy, we were given a son; He brings to the shoulders the mark of royalty; the name that was given to him is: admirable Councilor, strong God, father of future times, Prince of peace. 6 Great will be your Kingdom, and peace cannot end on the throne of David and over your reign, that he will consolidate and confirm in justice and Holiness from now and forever. Evangelho -
Lucas 1,26-38

He was a descendant of David and the Virgin's name was Mary. 28 the Angel went where she was and said: "rejoice, full of grace, the Lord is with you!" 29 Mary was upset with those words and started thinking what would be the meaning of the salutation. 30 and the angel said to him: "don't be afraid, Mary, because you have found favor with God. 31 behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a son, and shall call his name Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called son of the most high, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David your father. 33 He shall reign forever on the descendants of Jacob, and your Kingdom will have no end ". 34 Mary asked the Angel, "how that will happen if I do not know a man?" 35 the angel answered: "the spirit will come upon you and the power of the most high will overshadow you with your shadow. So, the boy who will be born will be called Holy, the son of God. 36 your relative Elizabeth Also conceived a son in her old age. This is the sixth month of that which was considered sterile, 37 because for God nothing is impossible ". 38 Maria, then said: "Behold the handmaid of the Lord; Let it be done to me according to your Word. " And the Angel retired – Word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho

Introduced by Pius XII, at the conclusion of the Marian year for 1954, this feast is celebrated eight days after the assumption of Mary into heaven. Mary is Queen because she is mother of Christ the King. Is Queen because surpasses all creatures in Holiness: "she closes all the goodness of creatures", writes Dante in the Divine Comedy. Since the beginning of the Church, the faithful do not cease to honor Mary as Queen. The many mosaics and paintings representing Mary Queen the show. Comes from the middle ages the Salve Regina, in which Mary is considered to be the lady who love and serve with dignity, and the Mother who obtain safe protection.
