Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo Mateus 9,14-15 – Naquele tempo, 14os discípulos de João aproximaram-se de Jesus e perguntaram: “Por que razão nós e os fariseus praticamos jejuns, mas os teus discípulos não?” 15Disse-lhes Jesus: “Por acaso, os amigos do noivo podem estar de luto enquanto o noivo está com eles? Dias virão em que o noivo será tirado do meio deles. Então, sim, eles jejuarão”. – Palavra da salvação.

Jesus, ensina-nos o verdadeiro valor do jejum. Para Teus discípulos, outrora, jejuar indicava experimentar Tua ausência nos dias de Tua paixão e morte. Para nosso conforto, pela Tua ressurreição, decidiste permanecer para sempre conosco. Tempo de alegria. Amém.

To Pray

Jesus, teach us the true value of fasting. For Your disciples, in the past, fasting meant experiencing Your absence in the days of Your passion and death. For your comfort, by Your resurrection, you have decided to remain with us forever. Time for joy. Amen.
