🇧🇷 Evangelho do Dia 14/02/19 🇺🇸 Daily Gospel 02/14/19

Foi até ele e caiu a seus pés.
He went to him and fell at his feet.

1a. Leitura

– Palavra do Senhor.

1st. Reading
Reading the book of Genesis 2: 18-25 - 18The Lord God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will give you a helper similar to him. " 19And the Lord God formed from the earth all the wild beasts and all the birds of the air, and brought them to Adam to see how he would call them; every living being would have the name Adam gave it. 20And Adam gave name to all the domestic animals, to all the birds of the sky, and to all the wild beasts, but Adam found no such helper. 21And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam. When he fell asleep, he took one of his ribs and closed the place with meat. 22And from the rib of Adam, the Lord God formed the woman, and led her to Adam. 23And Adam exclaimed, "This time, yes, it is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh! She will be called 'woman' because she was taken from man. " 24Therefore the man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh. 25And they were both naked, Adam and his wife, and they were not ashamed. - Word of the Lord.

Evangelho

Aleluia, aleluia, aleluia.
Acolhei docilmente a Palavra semeada em vós, meus irmãos; / ela pode salvar vossas vidas! (Tg 1,21) – R.

Gospel
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.
Accept the Word sown in you, my brethren; / it can save your lives! (Tg 1.21) - R.
Proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ according to Mark 7: 24-30 - At that time, Jesus left and went to the region of Tire and Sidon. He went into a house and did not want anyone to know where he was. But he could not stay hidden. 25A woman who had a daughter with an unclean spirit heard of Jesus. He went to him and fell at his feet. 26The woman was a pagan, born in Phenicia of Syria. She begged Jesus to expel the demon from her daughter. 27Jesus said, "Let the children be satisfied first, for it is not right to take the bread from the children and throw it to the dogs." 28The woman answered, "It is true, Lord; but the little dogs under the table eat the crumbs that children drop. " 29Then Jesus said, "Because of what you have just said, you can go home. The devil has already left your daughter. " 30 She went home and found her daughter lying on the bed, for the devil had already left her. - Word of salvation.

Refletindo o Evangelho

Reflecting the Gospel
Jesus leaves his land and goes abroad (territory of Tire). In this way, he puts into practice the content of his message: for God all peoples are equal; there is no privilege for the people of Israel. Here he was famous. Stay in a house, with a family of the place, without prejudice of religion or race. With this, the Master breaks the Jewish taboo that prevented him from interacting with other peoples. The Greek woman recognizes the power of Jesus and kneels at her feet, begging her to "cast out the devil from her daughter." The humble, confident and insistent attitude of the woman obtains the favor of Jesus and creates occasion to diminish the social distance between the people. It is not necessary for some to be satisfied and only then for others; all can be satiated at the same time, just distribute in an egalitarian way.

Salmo 127/128

Psalm 127/128
Blessed are all who revere the Lord.
Happy are you if you fear the Lord / and tread your ways! / From the work of your hands you will live, / you will be happy, all will be well!
Your wife is a fruitful vine / in the heart of your house; / Your children are olive shoots / around your table.
So shall every man be blessed / fearing the Lord. / The Lord bless you from Zion / every day of your life.
