Proclamação do evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo João – Naquele tempo, disse Jesus aos seus discípulos: 12“Tenho ainda muitas coisas a dizer-vos, mas não sois capazes de as compreender agora. 13Quando,
porém, vier o Espírito da verdade, ele vos conduzirá à plena verdade.
Pois ele não falará por si mesmo, mas dirá tudo o que tiver ouvido; e
até as coisas futuras vos anunciará. 14Ele me glorificará, porque receberá do que é meu e vo-lo anunciará. 15Tudo o que o Pai possui é meu. Por isso disse que o que ele receberá e vos anunciará é meu”. – Palavra da salvação.

of the gospel of Jesus Christ according to John - At that time Jesus
said to his disciples, 12 "I have many things to say to you, but you can
not understand them now. 13But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will bring you to the full truth. For he will not speak of himself, but he will speak all that he has heard; and he shall declare unto you all things. 14He will glorify me, because he will receive from what is mine and will tell it to you. 15 All that the Father has is mine. That is why he said that what he will receive and tell you is mine. " - Word of salvation.
Refletindo o Evangelho
Os discípulos não estão em condições de compreender muitas coisas que
Jesus teria a comunicar-lhes; tampouco podem assimilar o sentido
profundo de sua morte. Só a entenderão após sua ressurreição (cf. Jo
2,22; 12,16). Quem vai auxiliá-los nessa tarefa é o Espírito Santo, que
dirá toda a verdade que recebeu de Jesus: “Vai receber do que é meu e
comunicará a vocês”. Receber de Jesus é como receber do Pai, pois “todas
as coisas que o Pai tem são minhas”, afirmou Jesus. Desse modo, os
discípulos de Jesus não ficam órfãos ou desamparados, pois o Pai, o
Filho e o Espírito Santo estarão presentes e atuantes na vida e na
missão de todo cristão. Basta que estes estejam abertos aos sinais dos
tempos e ao Espírito Santo que os interpreta.
Reflecting the Gospel
"The disciples are not in a position to understand many things that Jesus would have to communicate to them; nor can they assimilate the profound meaning of their death. They will understand it only after their resurrection (cf. Jn 2,22; 12,16). Who
will help them in this task is the Holy Spirit, who will tell all the
truth that he received from Jesus: "You will receive from what is mine
and will communicate it to you". Receiving from Jesus is like receiving from the Father, for "all things the Father has are mine," Jesus said. Thus
the disciples of Jesus do not become orphans or forsaken, for the
Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit will be present and active in the
life and mission of every Christian. It is enough that they are open to the signs of the times and to the Holy Spirit who interprets them."
